                                                                     CBP DAILY FINANCIAL MARKETS UPDATE

The Nigerian Stock Exchange All Share Index (NSE ASI) and the Market Capitalization decreased by 4.10%, while the Year-to-Date return stood at -21.27%. The All Share Index closed at 22,550.83 against the previous close of 23,514.04 while Market Capitalization closed at ₦7.756 trillion against previous close of ₦8.087 trillion. Volume traded decreased by 58.83% from 476.650 million to 196.258 million, while the total value of stock traded decreased by 72.91% from ₦6.182 billion to ₦1.674 billion in 3,248 deals.   

The Financial Services sector led the activity chart with 162.29 million shares exchanged for ₦0.872 billion. Consumer Goods came next with 14.351 million shares traded for ₦0.637 billion, Conglomerates, Oil And Gas, Industrial Goods sectors followed in that order on the activity chart.       

UBA, Guaranty, Zenithbank, FBNH and Access were the most active stocks by volume. Continsure, Tigerbrands, Eterna, Transcorp and Guaranty emerged the highest price gainers on the chart, while Wapco, Guinness, Stanbic, FCMB and Dangcem topped the losers chart.
